In this volunteer position with Therapeutic Recreation, you will help participants with disabilities experience the thrill of gliding down the mountain with our Adaptive Ski & Snowboard Program Powderhounds Program, or Cross-country Blue Waxers program. These programs operate Saturdays on Mt Spokane, typically from 9:00am - 3:30pm but hours may vary. Skiing or snowboarding experience required.
Volunteers get a lift ticket good for that day only on each day they teach. If a second year volunteer they qualify to purchase a $100 season pass from the mountain. Every two times they teach they qualify to purchase a discounted lift ticket to be used by themselves or a family member.
Please visit our Therapeutic Recreation page to view the two separate memos that describe the different program volunteer opportunities, and our registration packet (on the sidebar of the page). Please contact Alice Busch at abusch@spokanecity.org or 509.625.6245 for additional information.
